Wild Birds Art Therapist: Imojjen Hunnam
The Wild Birds groups are a place for young people to explore who they are and what is important to them, while feeling part of a supportive group and building social skills. Guided by an art therapist, each session will involve thinking creatively about a theme or prompt and using art materials to make something, while connecting with other group members.
Artistic skill is NOT required to be part of the Wild Birds groups!
Some of the themes that the groups will focus on are:
Identity - who I am
Values - what is important to me
Social connection - how I interact with others
Emotions - how I experience and process emotions
Resilience - my capacity when facing difficulties
Self-expression - using art to express things about myself in new ways!
Our 3 Wild Birds groups are:
Little Birds - School grades 4-6
Wild Birds Juniors - School grades 7-9
Wild Birds Seniors - School grades 10-12
